We’ve poured every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears into this project, and as we sit on the edge of re-opening, I can’t help but reflect back on almost a year of applications, meetings, deadlines, planning, and missed deadlines. The city is abuzz with anticipation, but truly, no one is more eager than us to finally let you in.
I’d like to introduce our team, all of whom have been pivotal in providing their expertise in this venture.
Mark – For obvious reasons, your contribution and passion for this venue have made my dream possible. I can’t thank you enough for going on this crazy journey with me.
Tom – You said it best with “we don’t need to re-invent the wheel, we just need to make great tasting wheels.” With Jesse and Maria in your corner, we can’t wait to taste what you guys come up with!
George – Your years of experience are a great asset in your role as a team leader. The staff and I are lucky to have you in assisting with our everyday operations.
Natalie – Your keen eye for design and vigour with a cocktail shaker provides the finishing touches to the craft-inspired bar menus.
Edith – Thank you for organizing my life and being a second voice and resource for myself and our community.
The support from each of you has been endless and has made this long journey possible. It’s been a big undertaking, and I’m so proud of what we are creating here.
The community in Kitchener is brilliant as it is diverse. This was always the driving force in our bid to take on The Boathouse. In the two short years of Imbibe’s lifespan (thus far!) we’ve been lucky to watch as the city revitalized around us. We’ve been blessed to be welcomed into this community. I want to thank you all for your patience, for your continued words of support, for popping your heads in during construction, and following us along the way. We want to continue the musical legacy of The Boathouse, while also staying true to our vision of being a community-centred space.
With our doors set to open on soon, I invite you to pop in and grab a seat, a drink, a bite, and have a listen to some amazing tunes. We’re making our mark, and want you to be a part of it.
